Experience and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, or a related field
is preferred, or
commensurate work experience.
Prior Experience:
- Minimum three years grant writing experience in a non-profit setting.
- Proven track record in grant writing and award securement.
- Experience in government grant writing preferred, but not required.

- Deadline driven and results oriented, with the ability to take
direction well and apply
feedback.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills.
- Proficient in interpreting and analyzing diverse data.
- Strong communication skills, including presentation experience.
- Strong organization and planning skills, including project
management and coordination.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
and/or other donor
tracking software.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects within required deadlines.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Eligibility to work in the United States

Work Environment
Work is performed under the direction of the Director, Development
with the majority of work performed independently. The majority of the
work will be performed in an office environment.
